Since I have moved to the smaller room in my houseshare I enjoy spending time in my room a lot more than I did before, but I still haven’t found the time and energy to actually decorate my room. The room itself is tiny (~2.5m x 3m) and to be honest quite dark most of the time – unless the sun shines.
One Wall is covered with a small wardrobe and a chest of drawers. The other wall is covered by the wardrobe and the window a radiator, a chair full of stuff and my bed. The next wall is covered over the complete length by my bed and the area above my bed is the main one to be decorated. The last wall is the one with my door at the far right and my bed at the far left, with loads of space in the middle. I put up a pinboard on this wall but so far I didnt get round to actually putting some stuff up. At the bottom there is a pile of my books.
I dont mind the size of the room too much. It feels so much better than the bigger room I had before, but still I don’t know where to put all my stuff. The room hasn’t got a desk or a book shelf and I don’t actually want to put any more furniture in here. My only chair kind of operates as a bedside table and the floor is often completely covered with clothes, because there is just no place to put them. I’ll make some pictures soon and then start going through some ideas what to put up on the wall. I’ve just flicked through some old magazines and collected some pictures I like. I will also look through my photographs to see which ones I want in big and maybe they will end up on my wall..
Ideas anyone? Paint is not an option. I’ll also do a quick floor plan. Maybe someone knows a way to organise the room that works better? How can I work around the fact I haven’t got a desk? Any suggestions appreciated.
